Jenny Ting Lynch
Life is hard. Sometimes we need support from a professional. Because I started my career in finance and later became a stay-at-home mom, I personally understand the stressors of modern work and family life.
I specialize in working with individuals in life transitions (career, marriage, divorce/breakup, birth, illness/death) and with couples and families, especially when there are issues with culture and families of origin. My interest in culture and families stems partly from my own background; I have been married for over 15 years in an interracial marriage. And my parents are immigrants from Taiwan, where I still have close cultural and family ties.
My goal is to empower you with tools to create positive change in your life and relationships. My approach is based on the following modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Culturally Informed and Flexible Family-Based Adolescent Therapy (CIFFTA). My style is warm, accepting and insightful with a touch of humor. I can also integrate faith into counseling at your request.
I look forward to walking with you on your path towards greater healing, well-being, and personal growth.
Outside of therapy, I love cooking and eating with my friends and family. We love watching Top Chef, browsing cookbooks and dining at local favorites.
My educational background is:
M.S. in Clinical Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counselor concentration from Notre Dame de Namur University.
B.A. in English from Amherst College.
