Kara Escobedo

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, and the challenges that come from growing up in complex or high-stress family systems. With a background in youth work and foster care, I bring a trauma-informed understanding of how early experiences, attachment patterns, and family dynamics shape a person’s sense of safety, self-worth, and relationships.

A significant part of my work focuses on helping people who find themselves in high-conflict relationships or experiencing patterns of control, instability, or emotional harm. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore these dynamics, recognize what’s healthy versus harmful, rebuild self-trust, and begin healing from the impact of relational trauma or domestic abuse.

I have a deep passion for helping clients work through shame, unravel childhood wounds, and understand the “why” behind their emotions and responses. Rooted in shame-informed therapy, my approach centers on connecting with and healing the inner child, while learning new ways of thinking, responding, and growing into the most empowered version of themselves.

In my spare time, I love going on walks, working out, and spending time with my family.
